Inspired by actual events witnessed by a friend, this poem appeared in the science poetry journal Consilience, Issue 11, “Regeneration”.
I don’t write too many religious poems, but I did write this tiny one, inspired by the painting Sky over the Heights by the American artist Jean Wetta. It appeared in Calla Press on January 10.
There is no doubt these are difficult times we live in, as evidenced by this account of a recent trip to the grocery store, published in One Art Poetry Journal on January 16.
For issue 11 of Last Stanza Poetry Journal, with a theme of “The Outsider”, I wrote this poem about a painting in my childhood home.
This little poem appeared in the latest issue of Verse Afire, a newsletter from The Ontario Poetry Society.
And last, a poem inspired by a family trip long ago to St. Kitts and Nevis. This appeared in an Ontario Poetry Society travel anthology called Provoked by Places.
I wish you all good things in 2023!
